Red Bull BC One Event on MTV
Posted on February 25, 2009MTV got a great response last month when they showed Inside the Circle and Planet B-Boy and even re-aired it a few times. Now they’re planning to show Red Bull’s BC One event. Showing more breakdancing makes sense since their viewers love it but this time will be different. Whereas Inside the Circle and Planet B-Boy are films, BC One is just a 1 on 1 battle. How do you think this will be received?
Red Bull BC One airs on MTV this Saturday, February 28th at 11pm ET
Atlanta Breakdance Event on Comcast
Posted on February 11, 2009If you didn’t have a chance to attend Atlanta’s All Targets Leveled (A.T.L.) jam last October, you’re still in luck: Comcast now has it on demand. The 30 minute segment, which was produced by Eljay Williams, can be accessed by Atlanta area Comcast subscribers using the following sequence:
“On Demand” -> “Get Local” -> “What’s Hot” -> “A.T.L. All-Targets-Leveled”
I wonder if Comcast thought of this after MTV showed Inside the Circle and Planet B-Boy. Regardless, I hope more jams and events are given this level of exposure.

Interview with B-Boy Photographer Peter Tsai
Posted on November 1, 2008In addition to movies and films, breaking has been spread another way—through photos. From magazines to newspaper articles, photographers have been there since the beginning, capturing b-boys in a single moment…and then eternalizing them. I recently interviewed one such photographer, Peter Tsai, who has been photographing b-boys and b-girls since 2000.
What’s up Peter, please introduce yourself for the readers
Hey everybody my name is Peter Tsai. I’ve been photographing bboys for about 8 years and dancing for about 10. I currently live in Austin, Texas but grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, where I first got into the scene.
I love photography and capturing motion and action. You can find a lot of my work at www.petertsaiphotography.com. Hip Hop fans should pay special attention to the ‘Action’ section under the main page. You can also check out my presentation on B-boying culture for Pecha Kucha Austin at www.supertsai.com/photo/PKN/PKN00.html
